What we do
We bake celebration cakes, layer cakes, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, macarons, loaf cakes, tray bakes and other delicious treats on a daily basis in our Portlaoise bakery. All our cakes and confections are made from scratch ie: we don’t use cake mixes. We proudly use local free range eggs (from Granstown eggs in Ballacolla, Co Laois), Irish butter and the best quality ingredients, as local and Irish as possible!
We sell our small bakes in our cafés to enjoy with a freshly brewed tea or coffee, or to take home and share with your family and friends. Our offering changes every day depending on ingredient and seasonal produce availability. We are constantly changing and developing our choices and flavours to reflect the seasons and holidays. We design custom celebration cakes for Weddings, Birthdays and other celebrations. We work with our clients to design confections to suit their taste, theme and budget. Please take a look at our cakes page and contact us for a no-obligation consultation.
If you want something a little different such as fresh cream cakes, cheesecakes, pies or tarts we make them too! Just talk to us!
We supply cupcakes, cakes and other confections for corporate occasions and events. We can personalise them to suit the occasion with hand made sugarcraft toppers or an edible print of a photo or company logo. Our vintage caravan Gloria can be hired for events and weddings. She will also appear at several festivals during the summer months serving delicious treats and drinks.
Our cakes may contain butter, wheat flour, eggs and nuts and are made in an environment that handles nuts and soya. Gluten and dairy free cakes can be made on request but we cannot guarantee that the cakes will not contain traces of these elements due to the nature of our production. We accept no liability for a customer suffering an allergic reaction from consuming our cakes.
